STS-86 Commander James D. Wetherbee, at center, is greeted by KSC Space Shuttle officials shortly after landing the orbiter Atlantis on KSCs Runway 15. Shuttle Operations Director Bob Sieck is at left; Launch Director Jim Harrington is at Wetherbees right. The nearly 11-day mission ended with main gear touchdown at 5:55:09 p.m. EDT, Oct. 6, 1997. STS-86 was the seventh docking of the Space Shuttle with the Russian Space Station Mir.
