Description:
In the SAEF-2 spacecraft checkout facility at Kennedy Space Center, the cruise stage and aeroshell of the Mars Pathfinder spacecraft is inspected by Kendra Short and Maralee Murry of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The lander portion of Mars Pathfinder will be enclosed in the aeroshell and mated to the cruise stage during its journey to Mars. Launch of Mars Pathfinder will be aboard McDonnell Douglas Delta II rocket from Pad 17-B at Cape Canaveral on December 2.
