Description:
The 184-foot (56-meter) tall Shuttle stack is ready to begin the slow journey from the Vehicle Assembly Building high bay to the launch pad. In this view of the Shuttle Endeavour atop the mobile launcher platform (MLP), note the interior of the orbiter flight deck clearly visible prior to placement of protective coverings over the windows. Endeavour and the MLP will be transported by the crawler-transporter to Launch Pad 39B, where preparations will continue for its upcoming flight in May on STS-77.
