  • Description: Chris Jaskolka of McDonnell Douglas (left) shows STS-77 Mission Specialists Marc Garneau (Canadian Space Agency) and Andrew Thomas equipment inside the SPACEHAB-4 during the Crew Equipment Interface Test (CEIT) at the SPACEHAB processing facility in Port Canaveral. During a CEIT, Shuttle flight crew members have the opportunity to get a first-hand look at the payload hardware they will be working with on-orbit. The SPACEHAB-4 mini-laboratory is one of the primary payloads of the upcoming Mission STS-77 and a variety of materials processing and biotechnology experiments will be housed inside the pressurized module. McDonnell Douglas integrates the SPACEHAB modules under contract to SPACEHAB Inc.
