Description:
STS-72 Pilot Brent W. Jett Jr. dons his launch/entry suit in the Operations and Checkout Building with assistance of a suit technician. STS-72 is the first Shuttle flight of 1996 and also the first trip into space for Jett, who is a veteran Navy pilot with more than 2,500 flight hours logged in more than 30 different aircraft. Jett and five fellow crew members will soon depart for Launch Pad 29B, where the Space Shuttle Endeavour is undergoing final preparations for liftoff during an approximately 49-minute window opening at about 4:18 am EST, January 11.
