  • Description: The STS-72 astronauts enjoy a light lunch in the Operations and Checkout Building prior to receiving a weather briefing and donning their launch/entry suits. From left are Mission Specialist Koichi Wakata, who represents the National Space Development Agency (NASDA) of Japan; Mission Specialist Dr. Daniel T. Barry; Pilot Brent W. Jett Jr.; Commander Brian Duffy; and Mission Specialists Leroy Chiao and Winston E. Scott. Once they complete suitup, the astronatus will head for Launch Pad 29B, where the Space Shuttle Endeavour is undergoing final preparations for liftoff during an approximately 49-minute window opening at about 4:18 am EST, January 11.
