Description:
Members of the STS-72 flight crew are assisted by technicians as they look over payload bay hardware during the Crew Equipment Interface Test (CEIT) in the Orbiter Processing Facility. The suspended structure above the orbiter Endeavour's payload bay is an international space station-type rigid umbilical that spacewalking astronauts will work with during their upcoming spaceflight. STS-72 is scheduled to be the first Shuttle launch of 1996. The primary payloads are the Space Flyer Unit-Retrieval and the Office of Aeronautics and Space Technology-Flyer (OAST- Flyer).
