  • Description: As part of preflight processing for the STS-73 mission, the Space Shuttle Orbiter Columbia is transported out of Orbiter Processing Facility high bay 3 to begin its rollover to the Vehicle Assembly Building seen in the background. The primary payload for the mission, the United States Microgravity Laboratory-2 (USML-2), has already been installed into Columbia's payload bay. During the 16-day mission, the seven-member crew will conduct a series of 18 USML-2 microgravity research experiments in the field of physics, combustion science, materials science and biotechnology.
