  • Description: Following their arrival at KSC's Shuttle Landing Facility, the STS-71 flight crew takes a moment to address news media gathered to greet them. The journey from Johnson Space Center in Houston brings the flight crew one step closer to an historic spaceflight, the first docking of the U.S. Space Shuttle with the Russian Space Station Mir. The countdown clock already has begun ticking toward liftoff of the Shuttle Atlantis on that flight, currently scheduled for June 23 at 5:08 p.m. EDT.
