Description:
The first of three astronaut crews who will live and work aboard the Skylab space station pause in front of the vehicle that will launch it to Earth orbit. The crewmen are, l-r, Paul J. Weitz, pilot; Charles Conrad, Jr., mission commander; and Dr. Joseph P. Kerwin, science pilot. The enshrouded Orbital Workshop and related Skylab components comprise approximately the top third of the modified Saturn V.
