Description:
Chief Lunar Module Test Conductor Fritz K. Widick supervises preparations for a test of the Apollo 17 Lunar Roving Vehicle [LRV] in the Manned Spacecraft Operations Building. Engineers and technicians in background position the LRV for simulation of the Apollo 17 mission on the lunar surface by prime crew members Eugene Cernan, commander, and Harrison Schmitt, lunar module pilot. Apollo 17 is scheduled for launch from the Kennedy Space Center in December on the sixth US manned lunar landing mission.
