NASA officials evaluate launch vehicle data to determine the cause of technical problems which delayed the start of Apollo 17 launch to the Moon by about two and one-half hours. At left, in profile, is Dr. Kurt H. Debus, Director of Kennedy Space Center; John J. Williams, Director of KSC Spacecraft Operations; Walter J. Kapryan, hand on head, Director of KSC Launch Operations; Dr. Robert H. Gray, in jacket, Deputy Director of KSC Launch Operations; Dr. Rocco A. Petrone, Apollo Program Director; and Isom A. Rigell, Deputy Director of KSC Launch Vehicle Operations. Dr. Hans F. Gruene, seated in Center, is KSC's Director of Launch Vehicle Operations. Liftoff was recorded at 12:33 a.m. EST December 7, 1972.
